Accessibility

Travel That Works for Every Passenger

Travelers who are blind or have low vision, travelers who are deaf or hard of hearing, travelers with mobility needs, and travelers with sensory or cognitive disabilities all need power along the way. In the United States, airport accessibility is governed by the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Air Carrier Access Act. We plan every installation with those rules, and those travelers, in mind.

What we commit to in every pilot

  1. An accessibility review of each proposed charging location before anything is installed, covering the route to it, reach, and clear floor space, carried out with the airport's own accessibility staff.
  2. Charging placed beside seating, including quieter areas where the airport has them, so a traveler who needs to rest can charge in the same place.
  3. Every kiosk we propose reviewed against the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design. We describe an accessibility feature only after the manufacturer confirms it in writing.
  4. Feedback from travelers with disabilities, and from the organizations that serve them, built into the pilot review.
